A good film, full of action and intrigue, of course far from Conan Doyle's novel, but equally fascinating. Holmes is not plastered in his raincoat, with the everlasting pipe in his mouth, but it is a shaggy, beautiful and brainy brawler, Watson is a fine army colonel, and lost love for the game. Guy Ritchie, Madonna freed of the burden, has created an original and well thought of a literary classic. Sightseeing for a relaxing afternoon ..
